The foundation of this collaboration is our Basecase platform – a patented, lightweight and robust mast solution that enables the rapid integration of advanced equipment in the field. The platform’s flexibility and mobility have been decisive factors in the choice of solution.

Since autumn 2025, Charly Defence has been running a live project in which Basecase is used as a carrier for systems for:

The project involves the protection of an airport with a coverage area of up to 30 × 30 km, where the requirements for rapid installation, stability and reliable operation are extremely high.

The collaboration clearly demonstrates how the Baselight platform can be used far beyond traditional area lighting – as a critical component in modern security and defence systems.

Prime Design Sweden AB recently took part in the CEL exhibition in Poland – an international forum for defence, security and emergency preparedness, focusing on logistics, equipment and operational solutions.

During the exhibition, we met logistics and equipment managers from several armed forces, including those from Canada, Sweden, Germany and the UK.

There was considerable interest in Baselight. A clear recurring need in our discussions was the ability to rapidly establish effective area lighting in the field – something that many organisations still resolve today using older, heavy diesel-powered lighting towers.

We presented our portable lighting systems and held exciting discussions on:

These discussions confirm a clear trend where flexibility, mobility and energy efficiency are becoming increasingly important in both military and civilian applications.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who visited us and look forward to continuing these discussions in the future.

Prime Design Sweden AB has received a major, seven-figure order in SEK from the US military via our partner in the US.

The order comprises deliveries of Baselight systems tailored for demanding operations where rapid deployment, mobility and robust construction are crucial.

The Baselight platform has been developed to meet the needs of both military and civil emergency response, with a focus on:

Our solutions are currently used globally within sectors including the military, emergency services and critical infrastructure.

Prime Design Sweden AB will be exhibiting at Defence Expo Sweden 2026 on 15–16 April in Stockholm.

During the exhibition, we will be showcasing our latest solutions in portable area lighting with Baselight, as well as integrated solutions for surveillance, drone detection and tactical infrastructure.

Our systems are designed to meet the high standards required in the defence, security and critical infrastructure sectors – with a focus on mobility, rapid deployment and robust construction with no loose parts.

We look forward to meeting both new and existing partners at the event.

Prime Design Sweden AB continues to grow within the railway sector, where our solutions meet a clear need for modern, mobile and sustainable area lighting.

From Network Rail to Deutsche Bahn

The collaboration with the UK’s Network Rail began with a clear objective: to replace traditional diesel-powered lighting towers. The requirements were high – the solution had to be portable, emission-free and silent, whilst also being easy to move along the track as maintenance work progressed.

Baselight proved to be an effective alternative, where low weight, quick setup and flexibility enable a completely new approach to track maintenance.

We are now seeing the same development in Germany, where Deutsche Bahn has placed an order for the Baselight 600mx RAIL – a model specially developed and certified for use in high-voltage environments.

With high lighting performance and advanced functionality, combined with safe operation in complex railway environments, Baselight is strengthening its position as a modern alternative to traditional lighting towers in the rail sector.

This development reflects a clear trend where railway operators across Europe are actively seeking more sustainable, flexible and efficient solutions for work in track environments.
