a new generation of light towers

Baselight is a brand owned by Prime Design Sweden AB, a company specialized in designing and manufacturing smart, portable lighting equipment. Established in 2015, with headquarters in Stockholm, our operations currently include R&D, manufacturing and sales to more than 40+ countries all over the world.

An answer to a real-world need

The idea behind the Baselight series of light towers was born in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquakes in Haiti. As the local rescue operations had to rely on light towers using heavy, diesel-driven generators or tripod solutions with multiple parts and fragiles halogene lights, it became clear that an alternative was needed. One that brought a more effective technology in terms of performance, transportation and operation.

Today, Baselight offers light towers that cater to everything from construction to military applications. We continue to move Baselight forward by building and improving on the original idea. By using the latest LED, solar and battery technology we explore the new opportunities that come with flexible, powerful and sustainable area lighting solutions.

Lighting the way with innovation

Ever since the beginning Baselight has been about finding smart solutions to the challenges our customers face.

We set out with the ambition to replace the often heavy or underperforming traditional light towers. Today aselight is a unique and patented Swedish design that, thanks to its low weight, is simple and easy to transport. A truly portable light tower that offers completely new possibilities wherever there is a need for effective area lighting.

When speed to mount is essential, one person can set up our light towers in just one minute. The modular construction makes replacing parts easy. Today we offer a wide range of Baselight models, including our latest model with a built-in battery and optional solar panels to completely eliminate the need for external power or generators.

We continue to develop our products and look for new solutions. We take great pride in bringing the Swedish tradition of smart design and engineering forward, and we continually invest in our operations to make sure that we deliver the quality and performance that our customers expect.

efficient transports – sustainability in motion

If you can pack more items on to every van, or have them drive with a lighter load, you will be able to save on fuel costs – and emissions. With a compact, light-weight design Baselight brings efficiency, by allowing more equipment to fit into a smaller space. The flexible options for power supply also means that heavy diesel-driven generators are not required. Instead you can fit Baseslight towers into a van or even in the trunk of a car, ready to be quickly mounted and powered by cable, battery or solar power.
